We’ll offer you plenty to do onsite at the York Expo Center. But, we know that you need to ride. So, we’ll offer skill runs (our Pot O Gold Run is being develeped and should be offering $1500 in cash prizes to the most skilled participants) and charity rides too.
But bikers always want to explore, so you should know that you can open the throttle to see all that York County and the rest of south central Pennsylvania has to offer. Some of the options are explained below.
We love motorcycles, and there are things to do on or with them in the area. They include:
Jefferson Hill Climbs on Sunday, September 21, 2014.
The White Rose Motorcycle Club offers AMA Pro Racing Hill Climbs, with spills and thrills on the 300 foot hill. Pro riders from the eastern US Attempt to conquer the hill in the fastest time. Lightweight motorcycles with high horsepower engines running on nitro-methane and/or nitrous oxide. The Hill has 2 breakers (or jumps) to cross which always adds to the excitement. Harley Davidson Open House & New Factory York Plant Tours
For the past few years, The Harley-Davidson Motor Company has been revolutionizing its manufacturing process, becoming more competitive and efficient. On the Eastern portion of its campus, its newest facility has been both enlarged and modernized substantially since 2009. Now, the factory, know as New Factory York, produces a motorcycle every 89 seconds! Plus, the assembly process allows for the production of Softails, Touring, and Custom bikes, as well as Trikes, at the same time on one line. If you are a fan of manufacturing or motorcycles, especially American-made Harley-Davidson motorcycles, you will want to make time to see New Factory York.
In 2014, Harley-Davidson Open House will be the third weekend of September, the same as White Rose Thunder®!
